The lighting restoration at Hangzhou Yucai Dengyun Primary School has a fresh design following the summer remodeling. The 9 lights and 3 blackboard lights in the classroom are evenly distributed. These newly installed LED professional eye protection lights can effectively avoid flicker, glare, blue light, etc.

A second control panel is located next to the standard switch on the wall at the door, and it has six buttons labeled "class, projection, after-school, self-study, recess, and test" that correspond to six different application scenarios.

According to Zhang Weiqi, deputy director of the Gongshu District Education Development Service Center, when you press the class button, the lights in the entire classroom will turn on; when you press the projection button, the two blackboard lights that are close to the projector will automatically go out, but the other lights won't be affected. These function module buttons work like shortcut keys, allowing you to select the ideal light level for children's eyes with only one press.

Not only is one-button dimming practical, but it also guarantees even illumination. The recommended illumination levels for classrooms are 500lux for blackboards and 300lux for desks. The placement of each light in the classroom, the perpendicular position between its long axis and the chalkboard, and the distance from the desk were precisely calculated using big data. Each classroom has an eye protection light installed. Before using computer modeling to estimate the installation point, we must first know its length, width, and height. This includes the window-side lighting in both bright and dark lighting circumstances, such as on sunny and gloomy days. According to the different circumstances, the brightness of the light in the center of the classroom is also changed. The light has a light sensor, which allows for real-time data updating and transmission, ensuring that classroom illumination always complies with national standards, and safeguarding children's eyesight, said Zhang Weiqi.
